2. About Kurlu
Kurlu is a discovery platform only. We do not provide outdoor services, guiding, tours, merchandise, or professional advice. All creator services, events, and offerings are provided independently by creators.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Platform. Creator accounts require you to be 18 years or older.
4. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information and maintain the confidentiality of your login details. You are responsible for all activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breaches of these Terms or applicable laws.
5. Content Ownership & Licence
Creators retain ownership of their content. By uploading content, you grant Kurlu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Platform and in promotional materials. You warrant that you own or have rights to the content and that it complies with Australian law.
6. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- violate Australian law
- upload harmful, defamatory, misleading, or unlawful content
- interfere with Platform security
- scrape or harvest Platform data
- impersonate any person or entity
We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these Terms or our Community Standards.
7. Third-Party Links & Transactions
The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or stores. Kurlu does not control these sites and is not responsible for external transactions or content. Dealings between you and a creator or third party are solely between you and that party.
8. Consumer Guarantees
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
9. Disclaimer
The Platform is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy of creator content, or suitability for your purposes.
Outdoor activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, environmental hazards, equipment failure, and unpredictable conditions. You participate in any outdoor activity or rely on creator content at your own discretion and risk.
10. Limitation of Liability
Creators are solely responsible for the accuracy, safety, legality, and delivery of their own services, events, merchandise, and content. Kurlu does not supervise, manage, or verify creator activities.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Kurlu is not liable for:
- loss arising from user or creator content
- loss from third-party transactions
- indirect, consequential, or economic loss
Where liability cannot be excluded under the ACL, it is limited to the resupply of the service.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.

13. Creator Indemnity
Creators agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kurlu, its directors, employees, and partners from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from:

This indemnity survives termination of the creator's account.
Privacy Policy

4. Content Standards
Content must:
- be relevant to outdoor, adventure, or lifestyle themes
- comply with Australian law
- avoid explicit, violent, or harmful material
- avoid spam or irrelevant promotions
5. Enforcement

- remove content
- issue warnings
- suspend or terminate accounts
Serious or repeated violations may result in permanent bans.

Creator Disclosure Guide

1. When Disclosure Is Required

Creators are responsible for their own services, content, and compliance with Australian law.
2. How to Disclose
Disclosures must be:

3. Acceptable Disclosure Labels

Creator Terms and Conditions

1. Eligibility & Registration
To register as a creator, you must:
- be at least 18 years old
- provide accurate information
- comply with all applicable Australian laws
Kurlu is a discovery platform only. Creators operate independently and are not employees, agents, or representatives of Kurlu.
2. Content Ownership & Licence
Creators retain ownership of their content. By posting content, you grant Kurlu a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content on the Platform and in promotional materials. This licence survives account closure for content already displayed where reasonably necessary.
3. Creator Responsibilities
Creators acknowledge that outdoor activities involve inherent risks. Creators must ensure their content, events, and services are safe, lawful, and appropriate for public consumption.
Creators must:
- comply with Community Standards
- ensure content is accurate and not misleading
- comply with Australian consumer, advertising, and environmental laws
- disclose sponsorships or paid partnerships where required by law
Creators must not:
- promote illegal activities
- upload harmful or infringing content
- spam users or misuse the Platform
4. Events, Merchandise & External Links
Creators are solely responsible for the delivery, safety, legality, and accuracy of any services, events, merchandise, or external offerings they promote. Kurlu does not supervise or verify creator activities.
5. Removal, Suspension & Termination
We may remove content or suspend/terminate creator accounts for:
- breach of these Terms
- breach of Community Standards
- unlawful or unsafe behaviour
- repeated user complaints
Creators may close their account at any time.

Creators agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Kurlu, its directors, employees, and partners from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, or expenses arising from:
- creator content
- creator services or events
- creator merchandise

- harm or injury arising from outdoor activities promoted by the creator
This indemnity continues after account closure.
Brand & Advertising Policy

1. Purpose
This Policy outlines the standards and requirements for brands, advertisers, and sponsors engaging with Kurlu and its creators. Kurlu is a discovery platform only and does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the safety, legality, or accuracy of creator services or brand offerings.
2. Acceptable Advertisers
We accept advertising from brands aligned with outdoor, adventure, lifestyle, and related industries. We may decline advertisers at our discretion.
3. Prohibited Advertising
We do not allow advertising that:
- violates Australian law
- promotes unsafe or illegal activities
- includes misleading or deceptive claims
- targets minors inappropriately
- contains explicit, violent, or discriminatory content
4. Advertising Standards
All advertising must comply with:
- Australian Consumer Law (ACL)
- AANA Code of Ethics
- AANA Code for Advertising & Marketing Communications to Children
- Environmental claims guidelines (where applicable)
5. Sponsored Tiles & Banners
Brands purchasing placements must ensure:
- accurate representation of products
- compliance with all legal obligations
- no infringement of third-party rights
6. Creator Collaborations
Creators operate independently. Brands acknowledge that creators are responsible for their own conduct, content, and services. Brands must ensure required disclosures are made and avoid misleading or deceptive conduct.
7. Enforcement
We may remove ads or suspend brand accounts for violations of this Policy.
8. Indemnity
Brands and creators agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kurlu from any claims, losses, liabilities, or damages arising from advertising content, collaborations, or promotional activities.

Refunds & Consumer Guarantee Policy

This Policy applies where Kurlu processes payments for creator events, merchandise, subscriptions, or digital services. Kurlu is a discovery platform only and does not supervise or verify creator services.
2. Australian Consumer Law Rights
Nothing in this Policy excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
3. When Refunds Are Available
Refunds may be provided where:
- a service is not delivered
- an event is cancelled by the creator
- a digital service is not supplied as described
- a major failure occurs under the ACL
Kurlu is not responsible for the quality, safety, or delivery of creator services unless explicitly stated.
4. When Refunds Are Not Available
Refunds are generally not provided for:
- change of mind
- personal scheduling conflicts
- dissatisfaction with creator content where the service was delivered as described
5. Creator Responsibilities
Creators are responsible for:
- fulfilling orders
- delivering events
- complying with the ACL
- providing refunds where legally required

6. Kurlu's Role
Unless explicitly stated:
- Kurlu is not the seller of creator merchandise or events
- Kurlu is not responsible for creator fulfilment
- Kurlu may assist in dispute resolution but is not liable for creator obligations
